Savoring Culinary Joy, Inspiring Artful Living

BAO HOUSE

LAKESIDE,  SAN FRANCISCO

Driven by their love for design, art, and gastronomy, our clients embarked on an exciting endeavor. They discovered their dream property yet were dissatisfied with the outdated interiors of the house. Embracing the challenge, they entrusted us with the task of a complete transformation.

With a genuine appreciation for cultural heritage, we created a home that resonated with their unique style and values. The heart of this renovation became the kitchen—a space that celebrated culinary delights and served as a gathering place for cherished moments. Surrounding the central dining area, indoor and outdoor cooking fostered lively conversations and connections.

This home stands as a testament to their vision coming to life. It now reflects their passions, love for food, art, and life's simple pleasures. The transformation provided spaces for the family to unite and allow the children to explore and embrace their individual interests while honoring their family's budding traditions. This sanctuary offers a harmonious balance where creativity, connection, and treasured memories flourish for every member of the family.

Bright minimalist six fixture primary bathroom with integrated wet room for his/hers shower and free-standing tub. Dark hardware and fixtures offset the sandy large format stone tiled floors and walls. Custom home in San Francisco’s Lakeside neighborhood designed by Ho & Lacy.
Slender white oak slats form a wood screen buffer between the wood stair descending from bedrooms above into the entry foyer below. The open plan living room can be seen in the distance. Custom interiors, designed by Ho & Lacy.
A blue stone hearth and toffee wood built-in anchors this airy living room, brightened by new skylights and wall-to-wall glass sliders that open the living room to the expansive wood deck and garden beyond. The space fills with sunlight from 3 different directions, and a mix of leather and fabric furnishings brings a warmth and coziness to the social center of this home. Custom design by Ho & Lacy.
